Standing out on the job market: Crafting an effective application (2 half days)

Event organiser
Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz

On the agenda
- Are the contents of an English CV or resume the same as in your native language?
- Can you effectively present your background and career while demonstrating your motivation in a cover letter or personal statement?
- And can you strike the right balance between confidently highlighting your strengths without sounding arrogant?
The aim of this workshop is to put you on an equal footing with native English speakers when applying for positions. You will receive all the essential information you need for crafting job applications in English. Before the second session, you will prepare (or refine) your CV, resume, LinkedIn profile or cover letter in order to receive constructive feedback in small groups
The workshop will take place over two days: Tue, Mar 25 and Thu, Mar 27, 9:00 - 12:30 CET each
This online workshop is free and open to all students of the FORTHEM Alliance and you can receive a certificate of participation upon request.
