Career build-up in contemporary work settings: a new saga

The course aims at exploring the dynamics of present day career challenges, obstacles and opportunities in an age of constant rapid changes and contextual crises. The content brings to light new facts about the labour market, bridging points of interest between the education system and the new work requirements, in terms of skills and opportunities. Participants might expect an overview upon major challenges in the making when it comes to career construction and professional development, subject to open discussion, which can favor opening new paths and views upon the profession trajectory and milestones. Asking the right questions, revising former strategies and exploring new job opportunities are just some examples this course proposes for analysis and debate.

Lecturer:

Radu-Ioan Popa 
Associate Professor Dr. habil. at “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu, Romania. His main research interests focus on vulnerable groups on the labor market, Human-AI interactions at work and organizational pathology. He is a member of the Center for Social Research and a Honorary Fellow at Munich University of Applied Sciences, Germany. Moreover, he conducts research and implementation projects from the position of work and organizational psychologist and career trainer.
