You have probably seen a few job descriptions before where your thought “wow, this is the perfect job for me” and then wondered: How can I prove that I’m a good fit for the job? What do companies in Germany expect me to write in a Cover Letter? Especially, since a cover letter is not necessarily required for applications in other countries.
Objectives: In this interactive workshop, you will learn to interpret job descriptions and craft a targeted cover letter with a simple step-by-step process and guidance. After the session, you will have one cover letter in hand that is (almost) ready to be sent out and you will have learned an easy repeatable process for all future cover letters.
Contents:
• Analyzing job descriptions
• Understanding when you are a good fit for the position and when to apply
• Typical cover letter content & style
• 8 step process to write your cover letter and to fill each paragraph with your specific examples, skills and strengths
• How AI like ChatGPT can help with cover letter writing and what to pay attention to
